Taking pictures is a favorite hobby of mine and I particularly enjoy doing so with my iPhone. The practicality of always having a camera with me, a suite of image editing apps and a means to publish them immediately is intoxicating. For capturing, my go-to apps are the default Camera app, which handles the majority of use cases, and CortexCam, which can produce virtually noise-free images in a variety of lighting conditions. For editing, I rely heavily on VSCOCam, which is arguably my favorite iOS app. The photos below are the most recent from Instagram, but I also publish to my VSCO Grid, so follow along if you're into that sort of thing.

Noah, our middle kid, completely blew us away during his inaugural season swimming for the neighborhood Swim Team. He had many reservations at first, but with continued encouragement from us and the incredible coaches, plus a strong dose of self-confidence, he continued to rise up to challenges and feel the rewards of getting to the other side. We couldn’t be prouder of him!

Hotel Emma in the Pearl District of San Antonio is pure eye candy 😍
When another designer throws out a suggestion and you immediately dismiss it but then, upon trying it, you’re all 🤔🤔
Messing around with a possible rebrand for myself. Still working on getting my site relaunched...the never-ending project.
If you live in Austin then you need to check out @thirdcoastcoffee and their amazing beans. This one and Peru are two of my favorites. 👌🏼

Soaked at the mineral baths earlier today then in the beautiful sunshine.
Been a member @cgarenagroupfitness since November and I love it. Hard, intense, but so worth it. 💪🏼

For the SPACED Challenge I focused on the homepage, but also knew that I needed a logo. I saw an opportunity to make the company's name an acronym as a tie back to NASA. For the icon I took inspiration from Sputnik and screen graphics from Star Wars. Plus I like the idea of layering multiple planets/circles paired with lines that create movement to convey the idea that SPACED provides travel to these planets. The break in the middle line is a tiny nod to the notion of "speed". #spacedchallenge
Here's my submission for the #spacedchallenge. I posted a write-up and the full pixels to my Dribbble account (link in my bio). This was a lot of fun to work on and I've enjoyed seeing everyone else's submissions roll in. Thanks to @dannpetty for organizing this and mobilizing the design community! 👊🏼
Football all the things this Christmas
Made a quiche for Christmas breakfast: Bacon, spinach, mushroom, onions with Gouda, cheddar and Swiss cheeses. All GF and Dairy free (other than the cheeses) and everything from scratch. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Checked out the new Central Public Library yesterday. Fantastic from top to bottom!
There are a few places in the world where I wish I could teleport people to come experience them with me...and this is one of them. “Port Au Prince” restaurant where you can enjoy catfish, hush puppies, beans, fries, sweet & spicy pickles and homemade pies in a warm and cozy family-run restaurant on a back road in northern Louisiana. I crave eating here and this week I had the pleasure of enjoying it yet again.

Seeing Toad the Wet Sprocket, one of my favorite bands from my college days, finally live in concert. Better late than never.
Rolling solo, but super stoked to finally see Bonobo live. 🤘🏼
